A warranty scheme for manufacturing defects applies to this cargo trike.

The different warranty periods are outlined below. This warranty does not cover parts which are subject to normal wear and tear. The specific parts and components mentioned in the table below are included in the warranty (1 year) :

 

- 1-year warranty on the parts mentioned in the table above;

- All other parts are excluded from the warranty;

- 5 years for the frame and front fork;

- 5 years for internal corrosion;

- The warranty period begins on the day of purchase.

 

- If the defects are the result of improper use or insufficient maintenance.

- If the defects are the result of improper assembly; that is, assembly that is not done according to the accompanying assembly instructions, which can also be found at www.bakfietsweb.nl.  

- In the event of abnormal, indiscriminate, improper or careless use of the product;

 

- cycling onto or off of sidewalk curbs

- cycling against or into sidewalk curbs

- cycling on two wheels

- loading the cargo trike beyond its maximum weight capacity

- cycling backwards

- in the event of non-professional repairs or modifications to the product, and also the non-professional replacement of the product’s parts and components;

- if second-hand parts and components are used;

- in the event of damages incurred during competitive events or sports-related purposes;

- in the event of damages incurred as a result of an accident or some other external catastrophe. Parts and components assembled after purchase and not belonging to Profox International BV / www. Bakfietsweb.nl ‘s delivery program, as well as damaged and flat tires, stretching of brake- and gear-cables due to normal use (adjustment and readjustment of brakes and gears) and the readjustment of wheels and spokes during use, as well as spoke damage, are excluded from warranty.   

- Corrosion and loose-fitting nuts and bolts are also not covered by the warranty.

A requirement for eligibility for the warranty is the regular maintenance of the cargo bike. 

Cargo bikes which are used for rental purposes are excluded from warranty. 

The warranty is person-specific and non-transferable.

 

In the event that the replacement of parts is necessary, this will take place by means of a part that is technically and cosmetically equivalent to the original part, based on the available technology. 

The integration of an identical part cannot be claimed under the warranty. 

 

Abuse of the warranty scheme can lead to a claim for the incurred expenses.   

 

When ordering an assembly package, the correct assembly of the cargo bike is of crucial importance, and falls outside of Profox International BV./ www.bakfietsweb.nl.’s realm of responsibility.

 

Profox International BV / www.bakfietsweb.nl accepts no liability whatsoever neither for the incorrect assembly of the cargo bike nor for any consequences resulting there from.

We require at least 4 clear photographs, and an extensive explanation of the problem at hand.
